MAGLIA ROSA 2021

MASK ECO ACQUAZERO FABRIC FOR THE PRODUCTION OF FACE MASKS IS NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE

The Bergamo-based textile company’s e-store is now selling the new filtering,
no-drip, washable and printable fabric suitable for the production of personal protective equipment.

Cene (BG), June 2020 – Mask Eco Acquazero is the new fabric developed through research and development by  SITIP, a leading company specialised in the production of high-performance technical textiles. The fabric is ideal for air-filtering, no-drip protective face masks exclusively for personal use by the public and is perfectly compliant with the requirements established in the Ministry of Health Circular 0003572-P-18/03/2020, and therefore not for use in healthcare or the workplace. Authorisations required for materials that meet certain standards and comply with current regulations for personal protective equipment. Mask Eco Acquazero is now also available for sale in the company’s e-store for companies that need to purchase smaller quantities, making Sitip the only company on the Italian market that offers this type of service, ideal for small-scale tailors and artisans.

80% polyester and 20% elastane, Mask Eco Acquazero is breathable, hypoallergenic and water repellent for up to 20 washes at 40° C so it can be reused.

Tumble drying re-activates its no-drip treatment or, if it cannot be tumble dried, 5 seconds of steam ironing will suffice.

The water-repellent treatment is environmentally friendly, fluorine free and last generation. This technology poses no health risks (it is PFOA free) and has received various certifications including Oeko-Tex and Bluesign, making it ideal for use in contact with the skin. Last but not least, the fabric is fully printable, combining functionality and safety with a more attractive look that can be completely customised.

As a specialist in technical sportswear and industrial fabrics, in the midst of the Covid-19 emergency,  SITIP immediately set to work to find the best solutions for the production of protective face masks that it could supply to mask makers for the benefit of the entire community. In addition, the fabric is now available for sale online to customers who do not need large volumes. The e-store was launched in 2016 and now sells over 100 items with worldwide delivery and customer-friendly service.
