Sitip will showcase its commitment to sustainable production of high-performance technical textiles that not only respect the environment but also ensure the safety and health of the end consumer at the Functional Textiles by Performance Days fair in Shanghai, scheduled for 9th and 10th October 2024.
To this end, Sitip recently published its third voluntary Sustainability Report for 2023. The report underscores the company’s alignment with internationally recognised certifications and initiatives.
The Group specifically refers to the SDGs as guiding principles for its actions and is committed to pursuing over time the goals that are most in line with its potential to make a positive impact.
Equally significant are the product certifications and quality standards Sitip has achieved: Bluesign® certification ensures a responsible and sustainable production system that eliminates harmful substances; Oeko-Tex® STANDARD 100 guarantees product safety; GRS certifies production from recycled materials, and ZDHC Roadmap to Zero fosters transparent processes promoting safer chemical use.
In terms of its certified Quality, Environmental, Energy, and Social Management Systems, Sitip adheres to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 14064 and SA8000 standards.
Sitip’s sustainable philosophy is deeply embedded in its products, which meet diverse performance requirements. For instance, fabrics designed for golf must be highly breathable and offer UV protection, while also ensuring details like noise reduction during movement are not overlooked.
For polo shirts and jerseys, the Venice Cosmopolitan Odor-free fabric stands out. This run-proof, bi-elastic fabric is breathable and comfortable on the skin, with a covering effect and excellent UV protection (UPF 50+). The ODOR-FREE Renewable Pureness technology captures odour-causing substances, keeping the fabric fresh by renewing the treatment’s effectiveness with each wash. This biocide-free technology, dermatologically tested, meets Bluesign® guidelines and is approved by OEKO-TEX® ECOPASSPORT.
A new addition to the collection is the Busy life Cosmopolitan fabric, ideal for techno-sartorial garments such as outerwear, trousers, and jackets. This fabric provides excellent opacity and effective protection against the sun’s rays.
Another noteworthy fabric is Florence Cosmopolitan: designed for everyday wear, offering breathability, comfort, and easy-care features. This fabric is perfect for shirts and polo shirts, providing excellent coverage and maximum UV protection (UPF 50+). It also incorporates the ODOR-FREE Renewable Pureness technology.
All the fabrics mentioned adhere to the strict environmental and safety standards of Bluesign® and OEKO-TEX®, ensuring not only high performance but also skin and consumer safety.
Sitip looks forward to welcoming you at Functional Textiles by Performance Days fair in Shanghai at booth C06 where you can explore the complete collection and learn more about its dedication to sustainability and innovation.
