Sitip takes part to the international fairs in Sistema Moda Italia
TexClubTec area – Technical and Innovative Textiles

Starting from Milano Unica in the Innovation Area by TexClubTec – the Technical and Innovative Textiles section of SMI – Sistema Moda Italia, Sitip is one of the sustainable companies associated with Sistema Moda Italia and part of the “Made in Italy” National Technology Cluster which have demonstrated their commitment to product, process and service innovation, research and sustainable production.

For many years Sitip has been associated with and participates in the initiatives of Sistema Moda Italia – SMI, one of the largest organizations in the world representing the textile and fashion industrial sectors, a fundamental component of the economic and manufacturing Italian fabric.

The Federation effectively protects and promotes the interests of the sector and their associates and represents the entire supply chain both nationally and internationally, in relations with institutions, public administrations, economic, political, union and social organizations. SMI is a member of Confindustria and Confindustria Moda and is the most representative founding member of Euratex, the European Organization of Textile and Clothing.

As sensitive to the development and growth of the textile and fashion Industry, enhancing its promotion and internationalization processes and promoting research, innovation and network between companies and European associations, joining SMI means having support in the management of the main company issues, assistance in participation in international trade fairs organized in collaboration with Ente Moda Italia, being represented all over the world and being competitive in the market – becoming protagonists of a new business culture – and promoting and enhancing the leadership of the entire supply chain.

SMI also coordinates the Italian Technological Platform for Textile Clothing and the National Technology Cluster Design, Creativity and Made in Italy” (MinIT), of which Silvana Pezzoli (Vice President and Commercial Director of Sitip) is President of the Coordination and Management Committee.

The MinIT Cluster, in particular, is an association that aims to promote an eco-system of technology transfer and innovation, able to produce sustainable, integrated and inclusive economic growth for Made in Italy companies, developing and enhancing the scientific and entrepreneurial excellence of the national commodity sectors. To achieve these goals, it creates synergies between industry, research institutions, universities, business associations, companies, institutions and the Public Administration and strengthens collaboration and cooperation networks also at an international level.

The sectorial and product areas of the MinIT Cluster are those connected to a distinctive image of the made in Italy product, characterized by the adoption of innovative approaches and technologies as well as design and creativity activities, primarily including fashion, design and gold system.

Included in Milano Unica within the special SMI exhibition Forum “Textile Materials for Activewear and Outdoor Clothing” (innovative and highly performing materials in terms of versatility, comfort, breathability, insulation, protection), Sitip presented the COSMOPOLITAN Fashion-Tech fabric collection, modern, practical and dedicated to contemporary urbanwear/sportswear style, with impeccable cuts and exceptional performance and will be inside the SMI – TexClubTec area in the next scheduled fairs.
